  • Fender hinge

I need a whole hinge or a front half for a 1934-1938 H-D. Two halves are waiting for this to get them back together.

What a moment. Does that mean Chris has finally admitted he's become unhinged? :-)

If possible Email me a photo of what you need and I will look through my fender stuff. I know I have a box of misc fender parts and pieces somewhere. Jp

Chris- At first I didn't think I had a Fender here to match one up with. Then I remembered I had a NOS retro 34-38 Flap (with the shroud) with both halves of the hinge attached. The I dug through my stuff and found an identical front half in nice shape. It has 3 loops just like the one on the Flap. Email above and i'll send photos. Jp

Nope- the one I have has no wire channel. Funny how the retro NOS 34-38 Flap I have doesnt have one. It also does not have a butterrfly strap on the Brace. I guess when they made the retros they didn't care about 100% originality? Sorry!

When you refer to the butterfly strap. Are you referring to the extra rounded area of meat on the hinge? Bob L

i think he's referring to the reinforcement on top of the fender brace on the inside

I just noticed the hinge Flathappy has matches mine and it matches the NOS Retro Flap that I have. Mine has three loops on the flap side. The brown primered one in the photo Chris posted has 2 loops on the flap side. ??? Which is correct for an early Knuckle? I'll have to dig up my early fenders and look? Jp

I was digging through some boxes of swap meet stuff I brought home years ago and forgot about. In it I found a complete hinge! My search is over.
