In Palmer's book, pg. 256, he states that the 74" models use part #1108-41, with a width of 3 5/8", and the 61" has a width of 3 13/32", for 1941-1947 models. Could it be possible that Palmer may be incorrect here; and that the actual measurement, (end-to-end), for a 61" be 3 250/1000, and for the 74", 3 406/1000 ? I'm building a 74".
