  • Original battery

Well... Please apologize the overdose of questions but as a newcomer I had some "traffic jam" of open issues!

Now the question goes regarding an original battery that is definitively dead (even the housing is cracked) but that I would love to bring back to life!

Somewhere I believe to have heard of some guys that keeping the original housing, the empty the content (hollow the battery) and fill in with some new technology like gel or similar (I am not the expert in batteries...

Do you have a good piece of advice and/or contact about people that do this type of work? Some better ideas than the "gel" to revive this old pieces of history?

Many thanks again and kind regards to all!

    Chris.

      Aha! Not bad, Olivier!

Some advice how to empty the original shell??? Never did such a thing! Special tooling? Being the shell somehow brittle as I would expect after so many years, I do not want to mess nothing! Do you know something now about the HOW?

      Many thanks!

      Chris.

        battery

you don't have to clean it out, just throw it awry an keep only the top inch of it, get a good industrial addhesive an glue it to your battery box cover, now you can put whatever gel or adm that will fit in the box an hook it up. works good an looks good, even the judges can't take your bayyery cover off
