It is amazing how hard it is to make any progress on your project if you are a newbie. From a guy that has been rebuilding old Mustangs and Chevys as well as Austin Healys and even old Hoosier cabinets for the last 20 years, rebuilding my Harley has been the hardest thing I've done so far. It's not the work. Actually my old Harley is about as complicated and labor intensive as the Hoosier Cabinet I'm redoing, but parts for everything else I've worked on has been a LOT easier to come by. I know that over the last few years it has gotten easier with the internet and ebay but it is still pretty difficult to find the right part at the right time. With that in mind, as I continue to search for my own parts, if I come across interesting finds, I will try to post them here.
For anyone restoring a 36 knucklehead, there is an interesting one on Craigslist Canada right now. Not sure if price is U.S. or Canadian.

VERY RARE 1936 KNUCKLEHEAD RIGHT SIDE ENGINE CASE, NEVER BROKEN OR REPAIRED IN ANY WAY. TOTALLY ORIGINAL, STRAIGHT AND READY TO USE. MAY CONSIDER TRADES OF OTHER KNUCKLE ITEMS.
* Location: COURTENAY (British Columbia maybe?)

By the Way, if anyone knows where I might find a 1939 Big Twin Frame, a late 1941-1947 knucklehead oil pump cover or a 1946 knucklehead right hand case, let me know.
Thanks,
Jim
