  • Linkert carburator ventura

I am working on a LINKERT m-35 carb and my question is should the Ventura have a snug fit when removing it or is all fine if it kinda slides out with no resistants. Kenny.

    Kenny,

It should have a snug fit.

    Hope this helps,

      It gets kinda iffy, Kenny!

Potmetal venturies are distorting while we are talking about them, much less the last eighty years.
They can be tight in spots, but still show some daylight anyway, so its not about feel. Its how they eyeball up to a light.

Potmetal (ZAMAK) is a super-cooled liquid, like antique window glass, endlessly moving, and sometimes crystallizing.

After routinely swageing a wide variety of venturies oversize, and lathe-cutting them to a snug-but-assemble-able fit to honed bores,
they invariably returned to a slip fit in a matter of months or a year, however they remained 'round', without daylight.
