And I have no problem believing those boys are not the brightest bulbs to begin with. Then they cloud their already questionable judgement with moonshine and decide to leave their spot unattended all Saturday night to check out a Bluegrass concert. Not too smart. When they stumble back Sunday morning, they find they've been ripped off. Sad, but not surprising.

The part I don't get is that (if I'm understanding you correctly) you saw their stuff being ripped off? Two old people in separate golf carts loaded up 'everything in sight' and fled the scene? Even without a camera to document the theft, somebody there should have known who the two old farts on golf carts were. And even if they were long gone by morning, they couldn't have been that hard to track down. Did anyone help Mach IV Motors get their sh!t back?

So who were these golfcart geezers? Surely they weren't robbing the parts to finish a basket-case Rascal they're restoring at the rest home. And if they're somewhere out there selling stolen parts, I'd like to know about it. Scum though they may be, I'd rather buy parts from Mach IV than someone who'd steal at a swap meet.

And is the Bluegrass concert a regular Saturday night thing at Wauseon?
And how many greasy milk crates can you fit in a golf cart?

Excuse me droptopford, I just seen your reply to my…Narritive.

To clear~up a few issues, the Mach guys abandoned their vendor spot probably around 2pm Saturday. I happened to be talking to an old friend, Kevin Myers from EMC, who has an ongoing spot adjacent from the Mach spot. We were bullshitting and I noticed the parts lying there with nobody around. There was half of a 4x8 plywood sign that said…Parts and a phone number. Kevin said he tried calling the number but no one answered. He was also aware that it was the Mach IV vendor spot. Nobody took anything until those two golf carts pulled up later, when the sun started going down. I hang around a lot in that area, because of longtime vendor friends, so I was kinda keeping an eye on the situation. But, when the golf carts pulled up, we just figured it was part of the Mach crew. Hindsight is always 20/20, but it still didn’t appear to be normal. On Sunday, I talked to the Mach IV guys when they were hunting their parts, and told them everything I witnessed on Saturday. I also went around the Mach vendor area, and asked if anyone seen anything. But, on Sunday am, many vendors had already left by Saturday evening. I meant to call Mach IV to inquire whether they received anything back, but I never got around to it.

Although I don’t agree with the Mach guys principles, you’re correct Droptopford, it’s all legit. People do this with expensive Guitars, Amplifiers & Automobiles. It’s just the sign of the times, and back in our day it was almost unheard of, which is why it is a hard pill to swallow for some of us.

Note: Those were full size Golf Carts, with seating in the back, they hold a lot of parts.

**Droptopford, the Bluegrass concert is on Saturday evening, every year for many M()()Ns.

*Sorry for the blurry photo, but it was the only way I could show it with those screen shots. *Between the red EMC & Golf Carts arrows is where the old field games used to be~for reference.
