This is the complete bike in happier days before being torn apart. It sold in Vega for $58,300 + auction fees.

This particular seller always has complete bikes dismantled and listed for parts as I’m sure everyone is aware of. Sad in my opinion.

I agree Otis. Even if a bike is not a perfect specimen they can still be a very nice bike for someone.

Not the first time, or the last time that Mach IV performed their notorious Frankenstein butcher jobs. I personally don't think they're playing with a f()()L deck? A few years ago at the AMCA Wauseon National Meet, they left 7 to 10 grand worth of parts unattended, from 3pm Saturday till 9am Sunday, at their vending spot, while they went off early to the Blue Grass concert. Some rumors floated around that they got a jump on the event with some good ole' M()()NSHINE?~Hahaha. Around 9am Sunday, they went up & down & around the grounds, with a bullhorn, pleading for information on the heisted parts. My only regret was when I went to wash up, I didn't have my camera or phone to take pictures when the two golf carts, which occupied an older M/F couple in separate get~away golf carts, quickly loaded everything in sight, and Never returned...Anything!!!

Just curious, but what is a rough estimate of what the total sales price of the parts would be. How much would they make off this bike selling as parts after Ebay fees. I wonder about some of things Mach IV does. I recently bought a part on Ebay from them which they previously had on Buy it Now for $800 and then changed to No Reserve auction after a week where I bought it for $185.

Who knows. They literally part out every single last piece of the bikes. They must make money bc they do it all the time

Lots of the parts are rusted up junk like the dual exhaust for close to 2.5K. Hard to imagine.
They seem to have come up with some NOS parts and are actually pricing them reasonably, at least to me. Which is backwards in my mind and I have to agree with JoJo that they might be going or have gone 'round the bend.
Like the rest of you it pains me to see this type of business practiced and I have sworn to myself not to give it so much as a penny no matter how bad I may want the NOS part.
Sentimental I guess in my dotage.

It pains me to see a survivor parted out. It leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. However I have come to realize that since I ride a survivor but also restore a few bikes and that having the part availability is sometimes a good thing. I spend a lot of time at the swap meets but sometimes you just have to have that part.

I’ve heard the logic that one donor can put many back in the breeze but I think that’s a lot of BS.
