  • Fender Light

As I’m resurrecting a well used front fender for the ‘46 F, I’m at a loss as to where the fender light wire and tube come through. Palmer mentions a hole under the forks bent at a rearward angle that both go through, but not the exact location. Can anyone give me some dimensions? Thanks!

If your fender did not originally have a running light it might not have a a hole. Starting in 1948 they insulated one of the lower horn mounting hole and used it. If I think of it later I can get a photo.

Thank you Jerry, I am familiar with the’48 type set up. Mine should look like the ‘47 and earlier.
After posting the question, I realized I should have done a search first. I did find some older posts with some photos showing the dimensions I’m looking for.
I do realize that being a’46 it may not have had a fender light. But it’s a very late one, so who knows.
