The issue with most original plastic grips is shrinkage and brittleness over time. Most who have tried to use them experience splitting and cracking upon installation. New repops would be a better bet. I have several colors but they are relegated to display only.

I'm familiar with most of the NOS grips splitting upon installation, which is why I thought aftermarket might be a good idea. I have a pair of NOS pre-war grips grip I could use, but they wouldn't be correct for a 45FL.
          thanks,

I own Cimarron Cycle Works. We stock black, red, yellow, blue, and OD green. Feel free to PM me or you can order from our eBay page. I've got an order in for more a the moment so if any colors are showing out of stock, I'll have them again in a week or two. These are European made and done very well.

I agree. I've dealt with them quite a few times in the last few months. One of my favorite vendors.

I have also found Cimarron to be a great resource for the better quality repop.
