1065-41 rear hanger clamp Muffler 1937 Knucklehead

The 1065-41 clamp came in a hanger kit for a 1937 .If I install the 1065-41 clamp like the parts book says on a 1937 knucklehead it is going to dent the muffler

The purpose of that bracket is to press into the muffler body and act as an anti-rotational component.

Dear Dan, the 1940 parts book shows that clamp as 1065-36 for 1936-40. It looks like it may not have such deep prongs on it, so might grip the muffler without too much denting.

Steve that's because the 36 to 40 muffler was the smaller diameter one compared to the 41 and above unit.
