    1937 inner primary sal for chain oiler

    was there a seal for the chain oilier at the inner primary for 1937 knucklehead

    According to the parts books, no. But they do show 3803-36A Chain oiler cork washer, (in guard), 1936, early 61" twins with a 3803-36B Cork washer retainer, 1936, early 61" twins. Do you have an original inner primary cover with the extension that the chain oiler/breather goes through? Maybe you could put an O ring over the chain oiler before installing the inner primary cover to seal that hole. Possibly they eliminated the cork and retainer in mid 1936 because it blocked the outlet slot in the oiler. (???)
