With BT H-Ds, there is no connection to frame, motor, and trans so what's the problem? I think that has been a great loop-hole for H-D parts bike restoration (post chopper era) for people that want to collect a correct era pile of parts for a collective (correct era) project. I think the bike should have stayed together from a historical, and monetary point of view but someone may greatly benefit from this for their own parts collection. Whoever fu#ked up this bike back in the day is laughing from beyond, and true history will just chalk it up to ------history.

Just to clarify:
I didn’t buy this to make money, I pulled the engine out to have it gone through etc. I realized I don’t have the time, patience or resources to get it where it needs to be. So hopefully someone will do that rather than it sit for another 30 years and tot away.

So does the engine go with it?

Why not sell the engine and transmission with the chassis? That would make restoring the bike easier.
