What about the right tank, that is the more important one. The fuel outlet location is critical. Tha very late '47 tanks had indentations in the bottom like the new to come '48 Pan, but the fuel outlet was in a different location. Earlier '47 tanks are flat bottom like '46 and earlier. LIke, Robbie said, it's the right side fuel outlet location that make the later '47 tank different than the '48-'50 tank. I believe the outlet is more 'inboard' on the'47 than the later speedball tanks. I think Palmer gives that dimension in his books.Eric Smith
