What year are the grooved one for

Two different versions of grooved lugs that are not oversize, the early one has the long end like you picture, the second version has threads to the end and the cup is shorter like later types. Early is '35-'36, Not sure how far the second version went but probably not into '38.

I researched this many yrs ago and I believe the groove with the shorter end ended in 38.
