    oddball left case

IMG_0732.jpgIMG_0730.jpg has anybody seen this or know about it. I have a left case dated may 1944 with 112-35 on the inside of the case. everything that i have read has 112-35 on the outside and it is not for a 1944. that would be 36 to 39. i know it is supposed to be 112-406.i understand it was the war years. so who knows what happened. if anybody knows. i would love to know . thanks Eddie IMG_0731.jpg

I just sold one of these. It is a 1942 and up replacement for a 1936 to 1941. I have owned a few of them over the years Jerry

That case has long ribs. Long ribs did not start until mid 1941.

On the subject; I have a 1945 FL left case mated to a 47 right case. Other than the belly numbers not matching is the 47 case a match to the 45 case or are there differences?

There is no difference between a right side 1945 and right side 1947 case.

As well as May 44 I’ve seen replacement left cases like that cast in March 46, September 46 and February 47. Sometimes they have a minor belly number and sometimes they don't. Here’s the Feb 47 case.
