      Thanks Carl,
I THINK I sent you a PM a few days ago but I'm sort of new to it. If you didn't get it let me know.

Thought I'd bring this topic back to the top, as it's the only one I've found that focuses on the pre 41 knucklehead rear exhaust difference. I purchased the Vtwin kit that includes the normal oil seal and retaining washer, the small oil seal and small retaining washer, and the rocker box extension. When I took the old seals out of my rockers, the rear exhaust didn't have the small seal in place, only the normal large seal in the outermost part. I have 2 questions, one is about the amount of room where the small seal fits into the extension. The seal is roughly 5/16" thick, the necked down part of the extension where it fits has 9/16" of room, leaving 1/4" of space for the seal to float. Do I need to make a spacer to hold it in place, or is it fine as is? Question two is which way is the small seal supposed to face? The outer surface of the seal is tapered which leads me to believe the wider side goes against the retaining washer facing the ball end. There is an inner lip that rides on the machined area of the rocker, it would face outward towards the large seal if installed this way. Thanks in advance for any help.
