Knucklehead Reproduction Fenders

Hello,
Any recommendations as to were a can find a rear and front repro fenders for my 47 EL? I have tried VTwin &, Aaok but they are out of stock.

My experience with reproduction fenders has been sketchy. Sometimes they fit and sometimes they do not - even from the same manufacturer. I have never tried Replicant Metals for Knucklehead fenders but the JD stuff I got from him was ok but the gas tanks had minor issues.

I think you'd be much better served to buy your fenders from Repicant Metals than any other source. I looked seriously about buying a 1938 front fender from him about 3 years ago. The workmanship was first rate and the price, while higher than others I looked at, was in line with the better quality. At the time he was not yet making rear fenders but said he planned to so maybe they're now available. I ended up finding an OEM fender for my project but it was rough, took a bunch of time to "fix" and I'm not entirely happy with the result.

Thanks for the replies. I actually already have both an original front and rear fender. I am looking for reasonably priced repos that don't have to be exact for an idea that I have.

I scored a Replicant Metals rear fender for my 39 EL project a couple of year ago. There was a very limited run and I got lucky. When I mounted it, everything was where it should be. Spot welded and with correct hinge. Pricey, but in my opinion, worth it.

I bought my repro fenders for my '41 ULH in the '90's from V-Twin. These fenders were nicely made in the USA. They are very nice with the correct radiuses, unlike import fenders that stick out like a sore eye. The only thing that gives them away is the rivet heads on the fender to brace rivets. The heads are smaller. Yeah, I know the clutch pedal is up in the air. Been parking it like that since 1973 and haven't had any problems. Harley's with good American made parts don't have a lot of problems. image0-056 (2).jpg
