1944 knuckle/flathead trans case stamps?

I got a 44 knuckle or big twin flathead transmission case. Just wanted to know what these certain stamps mean. There is an s4 stamp by the transmission adjuster hole. And also a 121-35 stamp under the date code stamp. What does this mean?

Nothing. The 121-35 is a casting number and is on all the cases for many years. The S4 is likely an inspectors stamp. Neither mean anything as to the year, model, internals, etc.
