Can anyone help me out by identifying this headlamp?  At first I thought is was maybe a 1940’s Harley headlamp, but the stamping on the back of the shell is slanted down at a 45 degree angle as shown in the one photo, and that has me thinking it is maybe for another application? I really can't tell from the pics, Bob,..
But the CycleRays that I have encountered that weren't motorcycle "correct" were supposedly for Jeeps.
Hope somebody knows more...

I see the rivet for the ground wire. That make this correct for a post war machine. It was also used through 1959 on some hummer models.Be sure to visit;
