Finally got the wiring almost sorted on the 47 knuck chopper, got all the lights working, got ignition, but can only get plugs to fire when i open points and bridge across them with a screwdriver, however when i kick the engine over neither the points or the plugs fire, i am in no way a wiring expert, if it wasnt for the simplified diagram i prolly could not have gotten this far, any help and or advise as always would be greatly apppreciated, and thanks to all those that helped me sort out the wirting on the 39 knuck, now just have to sort out carb on it, but it is running, just not correct, thanks again, larry

Help sorting out wiring on 47 knuck chopper

It is pretty simple really, you should have voltage to the + side of the coil, - from coil to through distributor to the points and condenser. If you have all of that, burnish the points with points file with points closed. Then run a piece of paper through the points until nothing shows up on the paper. Check point gap and see if you have spark.
It sounds to me like your points are dirty.
