    1939 to 1941 gas strainer

    This is a pair of NOS Harley Davidson OEM inline filters for 1939 to 1941. One is silver cad and one is yellow cad. Anybody aware of when each might have been used or was it just hapstance. Jerry

      Are you sure it's yellow CAD and not just dirty silver CAD.

          Yes Mark It is a yellow color and I have a couple of them. I do not absolutely know it was yellow cad but the color is definitely yellow. Funny thing also I have some silver ones that have a real fine finish and a couple that are rather coarse. Jerry

              The yellow color could be from a chromate dip following cad plating.
