'42 Knuck - VIN Font??

Saw this knuck motor on flea-bay staring at $19k. The VIN font style looks different and the boss looks thinner than normal. Belly numbers (41-2093) match. Assume with the war spun up and the MoCo concentrating on the war effort, a 41- belly # could have been used in '42? However, the VIN looks suspicious. Thoughts?

Looks like a re-stamp to me. Boss looks to be filed and font doesn't look correct especially the letters to me but others can weigh in. He does have a title but doubt it would pass for Judging. Price seems high too but I already have a 42 and a couple for 41's as well JMHO.

Those are short rib cases. All '42 cases are long rib.
