1947 FL trans date codes

Does anybody know approximate trans case/lid date codes that would be "correct" for a late (FL1239#) knuck ? I've got a K-7 case and an H-7 top. both seem early 48 model year, but there seems to be some debate on how late HD stopped knuck production. Thanks

I have a fairly low vin 1948 Panhead. It's around 1150. The heads have J7 date codes and the cases have K7 codes. I would guess that your case is early pan but that the top is late knuckle. Want to señor trade the case?

Sure, If you've a E to H-7 case. I'm in the process now of repairing a crack and the two LH stud holes that appear to have been repaired by Helen Keller. Functional, but not pretty.
