engine case numbers

Does anyone have info on whether or not any numbers were cast onto the engine case at any time in the past? Take a gander at these numbers. Just follow the link below. Paps

The fellow posted new pics for the numbers on the scooter I was refering to and these new photos clearly show that the numbers were stamped. The original photos are what raise the original question to my mind. Paps
