  • Correct Cycleray headlamp lens for 1937 and 1939 models

Would a number 2 lens be correct for a early 1937 and number 5 correct for a mid 1939 model? Thanks

Dear Shane, the consensus among the judges seems to be that these are mold numbers rather than date codes, so it is unusual to deduct points on Cycleray headlamp lens numbers.

Thanks Steve for the information, aside from the judging aspect, would those mold numbers be about right in the sequence of mold numbers for 1937 and 1939 models?

That all depends on where the mold numbers are located. If they are at the top of the lens then they are not correct. If they are at the end of the last line of text at the bottom of the lens then they are correct.

          Chris,
Thanks for responding. I was not aware there were any other numbers on these lenses except above the word "TOP". I just looked at a couple lenses here and both of them have numbers above the word "TOP" but nothing at the end of the bottom line of text that ends with " PAT'S PEND." Just to clarify, is that where you are saying the numbers should be?
