Spirals--long & short

I have a set of short spirals,push type,that came with a box of parts. It measures 1 7/8" grip length, compared to the longer 3 1/2". Can anybody shed some light on what model & years the short spirals are for? Thanks, r&r

your short ones may be cut up for custom bars or racing.

Most Flanders bars used short spirals. And as rwm said many were shortened on racers, both as stock and by privateer owners. I have several short ones and each is a different length.
