Does anyone know, or have a picture, of the wiring route for the front fender lamp on a 1947 FL? Where the wire enters the fender and travels is my question.

Jorrow, the power enters through the lower horn bracket right screw which is insulated from the fender. The wire to the light connects to the bottom of the screw and is protected by a 3/16" od steel tube held on by two steel clips. Colony sells the kit but does not supply the insulated screw at the horn bracket. See attached pics. The drawing of the insulated post I did a few years back. Hope this helps? Bob L

Bob, That photo is how it was done on the 1948 models. 1947 the wire traveled through the hole in the fender, directly under the rigid fork, like all the earlier models.Be sure to visit;

Here's how the wire came out on my 37. The pic with the wire and tube shows the route it came from the hole to the light.Steve

Ok, Ive found the original hole in my fender masked over by the previous owner, so from what ive heard the wire runs through a metal tube beneath the fender to the light. How is this tube secured, or is it merely crimped over? Does anyone have a pic?
