Harley frames didn't have serial numbers till 1970

I think Dan is asking when the changeover from the early bullneck frame to the late '47 frame frame occured in terms of motor numbers. I'd say it was in the 6000 range, but I don't have anything specific to back it up. Can anyone narrow it down?

My 68XX number is late 47 frame.
