  • Correct Seat T for 1939 EL

I have two different versions of the 1938-1940 seat T subtype; one with the forging number (XE-39) on the top of the seat T arm in front of the slotted plate with the Hallmark on the opposite side of the arm followed by the number 4, and one with the forging number behind the slotted plate with the Hallmark on the other side followed by the number 2. Can anyone tell me which one would be correct for my 1939 EL #3473. Thanks

Thanks for responding Jerry, but both seat Ts have the grease zirk on the top. The numbers next to the hallmarks (#2 & #4) would seem to indicate there are possibly four different forgings for the 38-40 sub-type. Thought somebody out there might know or have an original 1938-40 BT they could look at. The late 1936-1937 seat T I have has no number next to the hallmark. Thanks
