Back in the early '90's I was told about a '36 EL for sale in Oildale, CA, a suburb of Bakersfield. My memory isn't positive but I believe it was 36EL1006, possibly 1007. When I went to see it I found not much '36 was left. It had ''36 cases with reinforcing ribs added and '36 air intake cover. The rest was a mixture of later Knuck and Pan parts. Big port top end, Stroker wheels, Wishbone frame, Glide fork, Foot shifter tranny. The deceased owner was a H-D mechanic and supposedly bought the bike new. His widow was in a nursing home and the bikes were at her families home.
The bike was in a garage in Oildale along with a UL hill climber with bad numbers and a '60's? Sportster. I was simply wondering if anyone knows what happened to this machine.

1007 used to belong to a guy in Ventura County, CA. I don't know where it is today. 1006 was the bike in the wooden garage in oildale, CA was far from original with heavy reinforcement ribs welded on the cases. If the restored 1006 is the same machine somebody did a marvelous job of removing those welds. Or they are a different set of cases.
