  • Wiring Diagram for 37EL

    Hi Knuckle Enthusiasts,
does anyone own a complete Wiring Diagram for a 1937 EL Knucklehead?
If yes, could i get a copy?

As far as I know the MoCo never produced one. Besides a diagram won't be any help to you on correctly routing the wires. Studying factory photos or an original machine are your best bet. One thing to remember is that the 1937 didn't use the upper horn mount as a terminal box. Bruce Linsday can sell you a totally correct wiring harness with all the correct connectors on it. There will be a diagram with that.

Here is the one from the '37 BT Flathead owners manual. EL should be the same.

Hi Chris, thank you for your advise - i will go in contact to Bruce Linsday - i know him from the last Oley meeting.
Hi Robby, that Wiring Diagram i own too - but thank you. That diagram does not have some Knuckle feathers, e.g.
the stop light wiring and some terminal points...

The stop lamp is an accessory.

How about this one! And as Chris pointed out, brake light wiring was not included in the diagram. If the switch was fitted it came with its own wiring and instructions.

Hi Chris, o.k. , now i know the reason for the not included stop light wiring in the diagram - it was an option!
Hi Robbie, that diagram is very fine - it shows all the terminal points. The two ones left hand in the diagram are left and right under the seat on the frame, i think.
And the third one will be the flying terminal behind the Cycle Ray Headlamp. Correct?
