  • Replacement tires for 39 Big Twin

Hey folks, I'm looking to buy a set of replacement tires for my 39 BT and I could use some input. I'm looking at the Coker website and they have Firestone ANS 400 18 or Coker Classic Diamond Tread Blackwall 400 18. Which would be the correct tread/tire or is there another tire that would be correct?

    As always, thanks.

4.50 x 18 was available, and fills the caverns under the fenders much better.

You are right, it would be 4.5x18. What are your thoughts on the tread pattern/tire?

My '37 rides on Coker Diamond Treads-all three, interchangeable wheels incl. sidecar. Was the Goodyear design in the era, and a very good road tread.
Check out the note at the bottom of Chris Haynes' orig 1939 order blank rear:

If that doesn't work, go in by the front door:

To Factory Order Blanks, to 1939, rear.
