Late 47 knuck frame hallmark

Can a late 47 knuck frame just have XE- 35 [without the 12] ? thanks, R&R

My late 47 frame has the 12 under XE-35. But, if my memory serves me, I think its possible that some neck castings did not have it.
HD had different casting suppliers or molds, so not having the 12 might not be a problem if the rest of the frame is correct. I'd still
ask the experts or judges to be sure.

My late '47 EL does not have the 12. It looks identical to R&R's photo. Mine also has a 13 and a square logo on the opposite side from where the XE-35 resides.

mine has it but I have seen a couple that do not
