I recently purchased a (mostly) 1928 JDL project bike. My goal is to build a machine that is mechanically and structurally sound, not necessarily an accurate restoration. Although I'd prefer '28 or '29 forks, I realize they're rare and expensive. A good solid set of type 5 ( '25-'27) forks would be fine. The bike came with 1915 forks which are in really bad shape, and probably not repairable, but if anyone is interested, I can send some pictures and information.
