whats the clearance on jd wheel bearings.how much oversize can a person go. do you have to take wheel apart to hone to largers size? my bearings measure .248. thanks

i am fairly certain that the bearing stock size is .250" so you might be able to install fresh standard size bearings & be fine. the roller bearing jd hub is very forgiving & durable as long as it has some grease in it. i rebuilt mine with .002 over bearings without honing it & rode it on the cannonball this year without issues.
