    1919 Harley F

I have been building a Harley F basket case and now working on the spiral twistgrips can someone please tell me how i secure the single cable in the steel slider that goes inside the handlebars, i have a small threaded piece that screws into the back of the steel slider but not sure if you solder it or just bend it .

    Nick,

Part number 3322-09 is the wire fastening screw that screws into the back of the slider. You also need part number 3324-09 control wire end. The control wire goes through the wire end and is bent over into a slot in the back side. See the following pictures. If you're missing the control wire end I believe HD used this part number well into the 40's. It's usually sold as part of the inner control wire. 001.jpg002.jpg004.jpg
