motor number

Any ideas. The LEGEND book doesn't list this motor. I see L's as side car machines. I see 21 and 22 T motors as magneto racers. My number is L20T_ _ _ _ _. Rich

Model letter designations are generally unrelated to the letters in the VIN on J models.
The L in your VIN simply indicates that the bike was Lighted as in it had a headlight and taillight because it is a battery ignition model. The T in your VIN is for Twin.
Sorry, but it's just a standard road model and not a factory race machine.

Mark, I didn't think it was a racer. I just wondered what it really was. Now I know thanks. I could have made it magneto or battery. I have parts for both. The only thing I'm missing that's major is the rear brake parts. I have the drum. Thanks for the info. Rich
