well this is interesting, it's up to $20k w/ 3.5 days left and reserve not met. it sort of looks like an unfinished project and where cost was a concern, at least from a plating/paint//striping perspective, that and trans/engine cases not painted. lots of details incorrect, i am not bashing the bike, but if the reserve is not met and assuming the seller wants max dollar, there's too much requiring to be corrected, i.e., headlight/horn/seat post/tail light wire tube placement incorrect/rims and zero mention details about engine/trans condition other than starts 2nd-3rd kick to justify a heavy hit to spending more than $20k. all of course imho.Last edited by Steve Swan; 12-29-2019, 03:02 PM.Steve Swan

I agree with you, Steve and your criticism is informative, not mean spirited. The details you mention are a big deal if the new owner intends to correct them. Plating is a big one that is both time consuming, and expensive; as is tank striping. The fit of the rear fender section is something that really has to be done right or your eye goes right to it. Same for bent handlebars. It's hard not to have criticism sound bad, but the person doing the restoration should be his own harshest critic.Eric Smith
