Not flying off the shelves. It's hard to decide if they are over priced or eBay has run it's course.rob ronky #10507

imho, the best of the lot is the '24 for the money. the '28 has wonderful provenance, but the less than substandard restoration kills the $47K price tag. the '29's chassis is a project partially in pieces and what is assembled is unknown to be ride ready, the engine built by Jon is it's strong point; $35K is a lot for a project without knowing condition of chassis and what might be missing. imho, with exception to the '24, the other two are over-priced. maybe the IoE bikes lack the glamour and performance of knuckleheads, and more so requires the rider to have more mechanical ability and don't have a recirculating lubrication system, so that might in part explain why there's less demand than later models. for me, the IoE configuration is where Harley-Davidson's history began, my Dad bought one new and the primitive elegance of these early machines is retained until their end. just my 2 cents.Steve Swan

I like the '24JD, but that sidecar doesn't do it any favors. The bike has most all the hard to find '24 bits, although the restoration leaves a lot to be desired. If someone is looking for a good project, that bike is just what you want to start with.Eric Smith

Eric and Steve, if you know anyone looking for builders I have a '20 (loop frame), '25 JD, '27 JD, '28 JDH, and '29 JDH. Some assembly required, batteries not included. Also a spare frame or two, same with forks, a complete motor or two, same with transmissions, and lots of extra parts. Assembling baskets now for spring or summer. FYI. Rich P.S. Baskets will have all major parts and some gingerbread. Not to high, not to low price wise.DrSprocket

I am sorta looking for another J, or JD, or JDH project.
