    Trying to find out model of this frame , and year is first 2 digits ?

    Yup, first two digits. The model is the F.

      This is unknown to me hand stamped numbers on Harley frame what years was this done, where might they be . Thanks

        Robbie, Am I wrong? I was once told all the frame numbers had F on them whether they were Js or Fs. I am not challenging you on that it is just what I was once told. Hard to tell by the pictures but it looks like the stand studs on the rear of the frame are swaged(riveted] on as are the ones on my 25 frame. Am I wrong or were these only swaged into the frame for a few years? It seems to me the later ones are held by nuts.

          You are correct about the letter always being F. The frame pictured above is a 1925 and it could have been either a magneto ignition model or a generator model. This one however was a generator model as the control coil to the distributor is still connected to the decompression lever.

              Your frame is 1928/29. The stand is a 1925-1929 FRONT stand.
