I would appreciate knowing what original 1927 headlight wiring is supposed to be like.
i have what appears two original wires coming off the main bulb socket; these wires (one red, one black) are enclosed in a sheath. Are these wires supposed to be a pair of continuous wires that to lead back to switch panel? What is the purpose of the round piece that is at the end of these wires? it is hard, looks like bakelite or some similar composite material.
Also, what i assume is the parking light, it has a male spade terminal with a hole in the spade. Where is this terminal supposed to lead to, or where does the spade connect to? Since the lighting switch operates the "LOW," and "ON," (low and high) beams, i do not understand when, how, if this parking light comes on....? separate from headlight bulb being on....? Or....?
What bulb number fits the socket? Looking at the socket, the two posts of bulb wold be directly across from each other (not offset.)
Thanks in advance for your help.
