Ok this is the new issue, the bike came with drop centre 18" rims, should have been 19" and these are on order.
Not going for clincher as I propose to do a fair amount of mileage and keep hearing tales of tyres coming of at speed, so drop centre it is.
When I stripped the old rims from the hubs the lacing was terrible, bent spokes and wrong size adjusting nipples (to small) as they came through the rim the gaps had been filled up with some sort of mastic. All in all not good.
The front wheel was set central to the hub, and the rear 3mm offset to the right (away from the drive sprocket), (all measurements calculated central between the flanges).
As the build was so poor the measurement I feel is a bit dubious!
Anybody know what the true measurement should be ?
