1927 JD timing and cam gear washers questions - Please help

looking at pictures i have collected. i noted in one of the pictures, on the cam gear, there appears to be a sort of bronze washer on the shaft the cam gear rotates on. looking in parts book, this appears possibly to be pn 0208 "gear stud bolt washer." i do not have this washer fitted in my engine.

studying parts book further...... it appears i am also missing the following pn's...... !

the following come in 3 thicknesses:
462-11 secondary gear stud washer 1/64"
463-11 " " 1/32"
464-11 " " 3/32"

the following come in 2 thicknesses:
468-15 roller arm stud washer 1/64"
469-15 " " 1/32"

470-15 roller arm stud, bronze washer

i can only assume these appropriately sized washers are necessary for keeping the gears specific to the washer fitted from moving excessively back and forth on the studs...... ? different sizes fitted provides a means of adjusting gear end play..... ?

if i am reading the parts book correctly, 470-15 has same application as 468-15/469-15, but what i do not know is 470-15 used with 468-15 or 469-15 or is 470-15 used instead of 468-15 or 469-15......?

i DO have the special stepped steel washer 650-15 that fits on the on the intermediate gear shaft after the intermediate (secondary?) gear is installed.

finally, i am also missing 536-11 relief stud fiber washer.

are there any other washers i have not listed i am missing........?

Where can i obtain these washers ? or do i need to make them ? i have never seen them before, so if i cannot obtain these washer and need to make them, i will need to obtain the necessary thickness of shim stock measure o.d. of shaft and approximate the o.d of washer. (i can only imagine they are necessary !)

I appreciate all the advice and help you can give me in answering these questions.

Those are all fiber washers. I don't know of a source. You could make them out of Mycarta.
The relief stud washer is more of a gasket.

Thanks Mark, for your reply. Are these fiber washers necessary ? i've found .035" Micarta on ebay.

What about 470-15, "roller arm stud bronze washer" that fits on end of shaft cam rotates on ? i would imagine that "washer" is more of a spacer and keeps cam gear in position. i note the shaft has a certain distance of purchase, where a thick washer could be placed (pics enclosed of my timing cavity and pic enclosed of an engine where i discovered what probably is 470-15.)

What i don't know is the thickness of this washer and the o.d.

"Thinking out loud," as i write this, i could measure the o.d. of the shaft to give the i.d. of the washer. in the picture revealing the exposed end of the cam gear, it appears there is an actual surface 470-15 floats against, so i should be able to measure an approximate enough o.d. for the washer. am i thinking right ?

i'd appreciate if you could give me some dimensions or tips how i can come up with the dimensions for this washer's thickness.

comparing pictures with washer/no washer, looks like maybe the thickness of 470-15 is approximately half the length of the shaft in picture with no washer........

There's some machinable Garolite on Mcmaster that would work pretty well Steve. I'm going to make a set in the next few days. I think the cam has one too. I'm sure if you left about .010 to .015 of side play that would be enough. I do have an original washer and I think it's right around 1/32 thick.
