  • Solar Headlight Bracket

    Hello Folks,

Looking to construct a pair of brackets for a Solar "Doughboy" headlight as pictured below. Looks like 1/2" round stock, turned down on the ends for a 3/8" thread. I'd cut the shoulder for the threads on a lathe first, then bend the hairpin shape. Some pics I've seen, may even suggest a compound bend. In other words, the verticals may bend slightly inward. Hoping somebody can help me with dimensions, bend angle, bend radius etc. to aid in construction. A .pdf of an actual tracing would be ideal.

    Thanks in advance,

    -Brett

They are definetely compound bends & tacing won't get you there, opposite side to side
