Available in a couple of weeks.
This is an item that I made about 10 years ago with great success. It's the 4 lobe cam used in all 1917-1929 J, JD, F, FD, DCA, and DCB engines. It can also be used in 1915 and 1916 engines if the correct cam followers are used.
This is one of two prototypes that I made before the new year. I haven't cleaned this one up so it still has the heat treatment finish. It also doesn't have the bushing installed yet. The cam you get will have the bushings installed but not reamed/honed. That's up to your motor builder.
The other prototype has been in a friends running JD for testing. He's down in the South West, so he's been able to put quite a few miles on it in the past few weeks. He has reported back and said that it's running great and shows no wear at all.
These are made on CNC equipment here in the good old USA and are professionally heat treated to the proper case depth for the tooth size.
An NOS cam was used as the pattern so the lobes have a stock form.
They cost $350 each. I only made 40 in this batch to get them while they last.
Please contact me if you want to reserve one or more.
