My leather drive belt on my 1910 Harley has streached and is close to the point of not being usable. Any tricks to shrink it or source for a new one?

Have it cut, shortened, and restitched? When I read the article about George Wyman's 1903 crossing of the continent it was mentioned that the trip was made on the original belt. Although it had been shortened and repaired.Be sure to visit;
