I used 130 octane avgas in my 1929 770cc v-twin BSA back when New Zealand changed over to the new **** unleaded. Bike ran like a dream with more power and sheer grunt than ever before. As long as your petrol is leaded, the higher the octane rating, the cooler it runs (depending on how fast you are pushing it of course). Unleaded will wreck your engine, so is avgas safe? I would say its good medicine for curing the bikes problems...
