Cotten, it looks like there may be more than one type according to Overlander.......

First let me give thanks again for the replies...

The fossils to be replaced are 1 3/4" wrench size, with a nominal 1 37/64"-20 tpi internal threads.
The length of the whole nut appears to have been 37/64".

I am not aware of the exact model from which these were removed.
But my roughed-out PEEK stock that fit all the other J manifold nuts that have been sent to me, fits these as well.

My 23JDCA has packing nuts that measure 1.765-inches so I’ll guess that is 1 ¾” allowing for a little surface rust.

Competition Distributing appears to have what you need.
          They show 1112-23PN for 74” 1923 to 1929 at http://www.competitiondist.com/cat12.htm
Their number of 1112 does not match the 1115 in the HD parts book but their 1112 picture shows a nut.

The nut for the 61” is 1112-15PN. (1915 to 1929) You could call them to really nail it. …bill in oregon

            Bill!

I appreciate your reply of course,

But just as I admitted I didn't really know how many types existed of J nuts in my first post, I really, really, need to find electroless-nickel'd hardware, as modern electro-platers seem to think the stuff should be a thick as triple-plate chrome. This makes it *difficult* with thread fits.

I would rather pay more than take a gamble.

These rusty fossils are closer to 1.740" wrench size.
            .025" is almost significant.
