  • Special Deluxe emblems

I swear I had mentioned these emblems a couple years but after doing battle with the forum's search function for the last 45 minutes I can't find that post to update so I'm starting a new one.

A buddy has had these emblems for at least 20 years. He had them packed away when I first mentioned them, but I was over at his place today and saw he had them out, so snagged them to get some photos. I've never seen mention of them in a Harley accessory catalogue, so either they're aftermarket (Superior, etc.?) or not motorcycle. They're cast not stamped. The mounting studs are not threaded. I took a picture of them on a bill so you can gauge the size. I think they would look dynamite on a panhead front fender where the HydraGlide emblem usually is and they're about the same size. Interested if anyone knows anything about them ... Perry

in the early 60's I worked in the parts department of a Buick dealer, there was a Buick Special. maybe that is where they came from.
I always tease guys with white walls on their bikes by saying "white walls are for Buick's", so if you put them on your bike you can then use white walls

It appears that Plymouth also had a Special Deluxe model. Either way the trim isn't for a Harley.

They are for 1942 Plymouth and mount on the hood sides.
