A local fellow has aquired a 23 JD w/ sidecar that he would like to restore. He needs a lot of parts but more importantly he needs some info like manuals, guides, books, whatever. He has asked me for that info but I am not at all familiar with bikes of that era. Can anyone tell me of the best source for parts and info on the JD model. I have not seen the bike yet but assume it's pretty rough. Thanks!! John Lindemann

The guy is here in ND. What makes it tough is that he does not use the computer. He showed me a picture yesterday and he has quite a project ahead of him. It wasn't a real good picture but I know he needs wheels, rear brake and sproket, rear fender flipper, primary chain cover and who knows what else. Thanks for your help so far. He said he is going to Rapid City sometime soon so I told him to stop in Sturgis at Competition. If anyone else has ideas I will pass them along. I told the guy to be ready to spend some serious dough but he is determined. I know he has the ability because he has restored some awesome cars. He has never worked on a bike but this one has some old family history and he wants it back up and running. Thanks for everything so far. John L.
